Morang records two deaths linked with COVID-19

MORANG: Two people have died from coronavirus in Morang district on Thursday morning.

The deceased are from Letang Municipality-2 and Ratuwamai of Morang.

The deceased from Letang died in the course of treatment at Nobel Teaching Hospital while that of Rautamai in home isolation.

The septuagenarian of Letang-2 succumbed to the virus this morning, said Narayan Dahal, the manager of the hospital. The elderly had been hospitalized on Tuesday after testing positive for COVID-19.

Likewise, an 80-year-old of Ratuwamai-8, died while doing time in home isolation.

The octogenarian had been in home isolation after he tested positive for the virus, according to Rabin Rai, the mayor of Ratuwamai municipality.

The elderly had tested positive for the virus during a PCR test on November 16. He had undergone the test after he suffered from fever, dry cough and headache.
