RSP’s Narendra Sah Kalwar takes early lead in Sarlahi-3



SARLAHI: Narendra Sah Kalwar of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has taken a commanding early lead in Sarlahi Constituency-3. According to ongoing vote counting, Kalawar has secured 1,934 votes, while Narayan Kaji Shrestha of the Nepali Communist Party is trailing with 366 votes.

Hari Prasad Upreti of CPN-UML with the Sun symbol has 166 votes, and Vinod Kumar Khanal of Nepali Congress with the Tree symbol has 137 votes.

Kalwar, who previously contested under the Maoist party, is now challenging his former leader Shrestha. In the 2022 election, CPN-UML’s Upreti had won the seat.

Kalwar, on Wednesday, had been identified as being on the credit bureau’s blacklist.
