Bardibas getting back to normal

MAHOTTARI: The situation in Mahottari is getting back to normal following a four-point agreement between the local administration and the agitators.

The situation in Mahottari turned bad to worse after a person injured in police firing died.

Police resorted to firing to control the crowd that had been protesting against the incident of kidnapping and murder of a six-year-old girl in Bardibas.

The civil talks committee and Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Katwal reached the agreement.

Accordingly, both the incidents will be probed and the guilty punished while a recommendation will be made to the Home Ministry to declare Sanjaya Neupane, who was killed in police firing, a martyr and provide free medical treatment to those injured.

Talks committee coordinator Chiranjibi Hamal signed the agreement on behalf of the agitators.
