NC row: Poudel faction accuses Deuba of playing foul

KATHMANDU: The faction led by Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel has alleged party President Sher Bahadur Deuba of trying to manipulate the upcoming election for the party leadership to be held during the party’s 14th general convention in February 2021.

The group led by Poudel has accused the party leadership of appointing members in various departments of the party in an effort to influence the party.

A meeting of the faction held at Arjun Narasingha KC’s residence today discussed how to check party President Deuba’s activities, which the leaders said were against the party statute.
