NRNs come to support of cancer patient



LISBON: Nepalis living in Portugal have joined hands to support their fellow citizen fighting cancer disease.

They have raised funds worth Rs. 415,000 for Dil Maya Darlami Magar of Kamalamai-10, Sindhuli.

Suffering from breast cancer for the past five years, Magar is presently in Bhaktapur undergoing treatment.
Nepali Honorary Consul General for Portugal Rajendra Khetan handed over the cash to Magar in person. Khetan also contributed Rs. 25,000 on his behalf.

The fundraising initiative was led by Dinesh Bhandari, who has been living in Portugal for the past seven years. Hospital sources have said that Magar requires Rs. 1.5 million for her treatment.
