Parliament should endorse MCC: NC leader Mahat

KATHMANDU: Joint General Secretary of the main opposition party Nepali Congress Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement should be endorsed by the parliament.

Speaking on a 13th day ritual of Chairman of Pratappur Rural Municipality of Nawalparasi Raj Kumar Sharma, Mahat was of the opinion that the agreement should be passed by the parliament.

He also urged to resolve the border issue through talks.

“Border issues including Kalapani, Lipu Lekh, Limpiyadhura and Susta should be resolved through diplomatic channels,” leader Mahat said.

Rural Municipality Chairman Sharma was killed in a road accident.
