12 new coronavirus cases in Gulmi, tally reaches 257

TAMGHAS: With 12 new confirmed cases, the number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 257 in Gulmi district on Friday morning.

According to Pashupati Acharya, chief of District Health Office, the newly infected people are five from Dhurkot rural municipality, four from Ishma rural municipality and three from Ruru Kshetra rural municipality.

The new cases were confirmed during tests at Provincial Laboratory in Rupandehi.

According to District Health Office, out of five infected in Dhurkot rural municipality, four are males aged 29, 36, 35 and 23 while one is 29-year-old female.

Similarly, three males aged 20, 34 and 26 and a 22-year-old woman are among those infected in Ishma rural municipality.

According to Acharya, three males aged 5, 28 and 35 have been infected with the COVID-19 in Ruru Kshetra rural municipality.

Three people have died from coronavirus and 20 have recovered in  Gulmi district so far.
