18 COVID-19 infected people receiving treatment at Corona Special Hospital, Beljhundi



DANG: Five individuals tested positive for coronavirus at the Ghorahi-based Rapti Institute of Health Science, today.

A press release issued by the Health and Population Ministry mentioned that coronavirus infection was confirmed with person from Bardiya and four from Banke after conducting PCR test of their swab samples.

The infected includes a 25-year-old person of Bansgadhi rural municipality, Bardiya, and a 16-year-old, two each with 23-year-old, and a 24-year-old of Dudhawa rural municipality, Banke.

Meanwhile, 18 infected people from four districts are kept at isolation wards of Corona Special Hospital Beljhundi in Dang.

Similarly, a 19-year-old of Badhaiyatal of Bardiya who tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday has been kept in isolation. Other eight from Narainapur of Banke, six from Kapilvastu and three from Dang are receiving treatment at the Corona Special Hospital.

Hospital Chief Dr Sarbesh Sharma shared that the health condition of infected people is normal.

More than 3,326 people from outside have so far entered the respective local levels in Dang district so far.

Coordinator of Health Section at Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city, Narayan Prasad Gharti said number of people entering Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city from India and other countries have reached 675.

Two hundred more people are said to arrive here via different border points today. Out of 10 local levels of the district, Rapti rural municipality has topped the list of entrants. A total of 800 people entered the rural municipality from India and other countries, said its chairperson Numananda Subedi. RSS
