11 COVID-19 infected persons including nurse in Kapilvastu discharged after recovery



KAPILVASTU: Among a total of 83 COVID-19 infected persons kept in isolation for treatment in Kapilvastu district as of today, 11 patients have returned home after recovery.

That includes a 25-year-old nurse working in the Kapilvastu Hospital who was the first health worker who was reported to have contracted COVID-19 in the country, according to Kapilvastu Hospital.

Hospital’s Dr Kishor Banjade shared that the tests were conducted among altogether 110 suspected ones in and out of the Hospital through PCR procedure and the nurse among them had tested positive for the infection.

After spending 14 days in isolation, the infected ones have recovered and returned to their homes, said Dr Bhanjade, suggesting the recovered nurse to stay at self-isolation at her home for one more week.
