No-confidence motion filed against Bagmati’s CM Paudel

Three ministers resign



KATHMANDU: A no-confidence motion has been filed against Chief Minister of Bagmati Pradesh Dormani Paduel.

As many as 45 lawmakers of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have filed the no-confidence motion at the secretariat of the Province Assembly against Paudel on Friday.

Ruling NCP has 80 lawmakers in the 110-member Province Assembly of Bagmati Pradesh. Of them Prachanda-Dahal faction has 46 lawmakers while Oli faction has 34 lawmakers.

The post of Chief Minister Paudel has been shaky after the party has been politically divided.

Similarly, three ministers of province government have resigned from their posts.

Three ministers, including Minister for Internal Affairs Shalikram Jammakattel, Minister for Industry Arun Nepal and Minister for Social Development Yubaraj Dulal have resigned from the posts.
