KATHMANDU: The members of Haj Committee have filed a case of financial irregularities against the Committee Chairman Shamsher Miya.

According to the agitating members of the Haj Committee, they have filed a case against Miya at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

They have also sought the attention of Muslim Commission in this regard.

Najibullah Ansari one of the members of the committee informed that they have filed the evidence based case at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Office of the Prime Minister and the Muslim Commission.

Ansari and his friends have alleged Chairman Miya of financial irregularities worth more than 30 million rupees.

Miya is believed to have committed irregularities in the arrangement of lodging, food and travel of the people set out in the pilgrimage.

The protesting members have demanded the dismissal of Chairman Miya and a free and fair trial against the irregularities he has committed as the Chairman of Haj Committee.
