NHRC asks govt on implementation status of agreements with Dr KC

KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has asked the government to publicize the status of implementation of the agreements signed with Dr Govinda KC.

The constitutional human rights watchdog instructed the government as senior orthopedic surgeon Dr KC is staging a fast-unto-death, and currently receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

This is his 19th fast-unto-death.

Dr KC’s hunger strikes have ended in agreements with the government. However, the agreements have not been implemented.
