Eleven more people, including journalist, test positive for coronavirus in Pokhara



POKHARA: Eleven people, including a journalist, tested positive for coronavirus in Pokhara today.

Similarly, 17 people in Gandaki state tested positive to the virus today. As per the data released by Health and Population Ministry, Provincial Health Directorate, here on Tuesday, four persons including a journalist tested positive for coronavirus.

Though he had not developed any coronavirus symptoms, coronavirus was confirmed on 34-year-old journalist of Pokhara Metropolitan City-28, working in a local FM station and newspaper, in course of contact tracing.

He had been working living in the FM station after risk of coronavirus started increasing. He came under contact tracing after a security guard of a Bank located at Pokhara-27 tested positive.

The FM station is located at the same building where the bank is situated. His swab was collected on Saturday. Preparation has been made to take him in isolation after the confirmation of coronavirus.

Process for contact tracing of those who came in contact with the journalist has been forwarded. As per the latest information made public by the Directorate on Tuesday, 11 people tested positive for coronavirus in Pokhara and 17 in Gandaki.
