COVID-19-infected man dies in Rupandehi



KATHMANDU:  A coronavirus patient has died in the course of treatment at Bhim Hospital in Rupandehi district.

According to Dr Sumit Prajapati, the coordinator of coronavirus management committee of the hospital, a 50-year-old man of Gaidahawa rural municipality-3, Rupandehi succumbed to the virus on Monday night.

He had been referred to Bhim Hospital from Universal Medical College after he was diagnosed with the virus on Friday.

According to Prajapati, he had been admitted to Universal Medical College after he sustained critical injuries after he fell off the roof of his house a week ago.

He had to undergo head surgery since he had a deep cut on it. Doctors had recommended a coronavirus test for him before undergoing surgery.

His PCR report came out positive on last Friday.
