10 more COVID-19 cases in Province-1



MORANG: Saturday saw 10 more cases of coronavirus cases in Province 1.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, ten people from Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Khotang and Tehrathum were found to be coronavirus positive on Saturday.

Two more women of a family found coronavirus positive in Biratnagar-6 tested COVID-19 positive. The family has got 3 coronavirus cases till date.

The women are aged 92 and 45 years respectively.

Similarly, 2 males each from Sunsari Inaruwa Municipality, Pathari Shanischare Municipality have also tested positive in the PCR test. In addition to this, one female of Mechinagar Municipality, 1 male of Diktel, and 1 more case from Myaglung are also found coronavirus positive.

Among the new cases, one is said to be medic from Saptari.

With this, the total number of cases in Province 1 has reached 891. According to the Ministry, 735 people have returned home after recovery from the pandemic.

In the meantime, Mayor Bhim Parajuli has called on the meeting of COVID-19 Crisis Management Center for Sunday.

The meeting is supposed to come out with new strategies to curb the pandemic.
