Four held with over six kilos of opium in Dang



GHORAHI:  The District Police Office, Dang arrested four people in possession of six kilos of opium.

The arrested are Lalsingh BK, 22, Harka Bahadur Gharti Magar, 31, Lalman Gharti Magar and Duj Bahadur Roka, 35, of Rolpa Sunchhahari rural municipality-2.

Being tipped off that drugs peddling was taking place at the Rato Danda-based Dakshinkali Soaltee Hotel in Rapti rural municipality, police arrested them on July 23.

Police confiscated opium weighing 6.976 kilos, five mobile phone sets, a motorcycle (Lu 40 Pa 9806) and a Bolero jeep (Lu 1 Cha 6171) from them. As police said, lately drugs trade in the Bhalubhang is on the rise.
