Police Inspector arrested on charge of drug trafficking

KATHMANDU: Police Inspector Rudra Shahi has been arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking.

He was working at the Lalitpur Police Area, Jawalakhel.

An official from the Bureau of Drug Control confirmed that he had been taken into custody. He was arrested from Pepsicola.

Police had seized more than 600 bottles of Corex drug in the operation on Wednesday.

Lalitpur Police Chief SSP Tek Prasad Rai said he had been sent to the bureau for further information.
