KATHMANDU: The logo of the National Assembly will be updated according to a new map unveiled by Nepal including territories encroached by India.

A meeting of the National Assembly Business Advisory Committee held on Sunday decided to update the logo as per the new map.

A lawmaker said that the decision has been made to modify the logo of the National Assembly and the badge used by the lawmakers according to the updated map.

The meeting also decided to request the House of Representatives for the same to bring uniformity in the logo used by the parliamentarians in both the houses of the federal parliament.

Likewise, the meeting decided to postpone the meeting slated for Monday due to a public holiday on Eid and hold the meeting of the upper house at 11 am on Tuesday.
