Muslim Commission asks Muslim community to offer namaz at home



KATHMANDU: The National Muslim Commission has asked Islam followers to follow nationwide lockdown by offering namaz at home during Eid ul-Fitr.

This caution has been made over the increasing COVID-19 risks, said the Commission’s President Samim Miya Ansari.

He attended a regular press conference organized here on Saturday by the Ministry of Health and Population.

Muslim people take part in a mass namaz recitation on the day of Eid ul-Fitr. He also urged the community to help the government to prevent and control the infection by following lockdown.

He also urged the community not to exchanges best wishes to neighbors after completing namaz recitation.
