COVID-19 death toll climbs to 6,077 in Italy



KATHMANDU: The death toll from the coronavirus has killed 601 people in a single day in Italy, the hardest-hit country after China.

With this, the total death toll from the deadly virus has reached 6,077 in Italy. As many as 793 died of the virus on last Saturday in the European country while the number of death came down to 651 on Sunday.

The COVID-19 had spread across the world killing 16,495 people and infecting over 378,492.

Of them, 101,608 have recovered after treatment.
