Rape-accused Lawmaker Rawal released on bail



DHANGADHI: Lawmaker of Far Western Province Akkal Bahadur Rawal who had been arrested on the charge of rape has been released on bail.

Hearing the case, Kailali District Judge Jayananda Paneru released Rawal on Rs 5,000 bail, said Information Officer of District Court, Kailali Nar Bahadur Negi.

A woman, who hails originally from Dhangadhi, had on February 26 had field a case at the district court accusing Rawal of attempting to rape her.

Acting on the case filed, District Police Office had arrested Rawal on March 20.
