3 killed in separate road accidents in capital



KATHMANDU: Three people died in separate road accidents occurred in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts.

Two people died in a motorcycle accident at Balkumari in Lalitpur. The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Dibash Kishor Bhattarai and pillion rider Lalita Rai, 30, said police.

The motorcycle, Ba 38 Pa 8357, heading to Gwarko from Koteshwar had met with an accident after it struck against the railing of the road.

Critically injured Bhattarai and Rai, who were rushed to B and B Hospital, died in the course of treatment, police informed.

Similarly, a minor died after being hit by a truck at Chyamasing in Bhaktapur district on Sunday evening.

The deceased is 11-year-old Tilak Makaju of Bhaktapur-10, Kamalbinayak, said police.
