Health Ministry designates 28 hospitals as COVID-19 hospital

KATHMANDU: The government has converted level one, level two and level three hospitals into COVID hospitals for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the hospitals of all the three levels have been converted into COVID hospitals.

He said, “District hospitals, provincial hospitals, teaching hospitals, central hospitals and some private hospitals have been turned into COVID hospitals by revoking the earlier decision on level one, two and three,” he said at a regular press briefing on Monday afternoon.

Earlier, the government had designated 13 hospitals as level one, 12 as level two and three as level three.
