Nepali Army Day marked in Bangladesh



DHAKA: The Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh celebrated the 262nd Raising Day of the Nepali Army on Monday at the embassy premises, highlighting the dedication and service of the Nepali Army towards the nation.

During the event, Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, highlighted the loyalty and commitment of the Nepali Army to Nepal and its people.

He also expressed confidence that the military cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh would strengthen bilateral relations.

Colonel Anjan Keshar Khatri, the Military Attaché, discussed the Nepali Army’s role in safeguarding Nepal’s sovereignty and its contributions to socio-economic development and international peacekeeping under the United Nations.

The event was attended by over 170 guests, including government officials, ambassadors, high-ranking officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, defence attaches, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the Nepali community in Bangladesh, according to a statement from the embassy.
