KATHMANDU: A 65-year-old man has died in the course of treatment at Koshi Hospital in Morang district.
According to Dr Deepak Sigdel, chief of Koshi Hospital COVID-19 Treatment Center, the sexagenarian died on Sunday night.
Originally from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-8, the patient was rushed to the hospital after he complained of respiratory problems at 8 pm yesterday. He died at 9 pm.
He is a retired teacher. He was confirmed to have been infected with the COVID-19 through contact tracing after a family member tested positive for coronavirus recently.
Earlier, a coronavirus patient, who had undergone plasma therapy at the BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences Academy, has died.
A 68-year-old patient from Dharan Sub-metropolis-8 breathed last on Sunday evening.
The patient was admitted to the hospital on August 14 after being confirmed with the coronavirus on last Saturday.
The patient had undergone plasma therapy after complaints of breathing difficulty, according to Dr Nidesh Sapkota, Spokesperson at the BPKIHS.
