Gold looters arrested in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two youths involved in looting gold chains from the pedestrians of Kathmandu.

According to police, Akesh Nakarmi and Vikky Magar have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a gold chain of a 29-year-old woman of Basantapur.

Police informed that investigation showed that the robbers had sold the gold chain at the Dallu-based Ma Haratisaran Sunchandi Pasal.

“After the loot, Akesh used his wife Neha to sell the looted gold chain,” the police offered the details. “We have arrested Neha and the owner of the gold shop Ashok Shakya as well,” police said.

Police are investigating further to explore other connections in the link.
