China orders US to close its Consulate General in Chengdu

KATHMANDU:  The China government has directed the United States of America to shut down its Consulate General based in South-Western City Chengu.

Earlier, America had directed to close down the Consulate General of China based in Houston metropolis of Texas until Friday.

China in a tit-for-tat has ordered to shut down the US Consulate General based in Chengdu.

Beijing had complained against America describing it’s order to shut down its Consulate General as an escalation of already sourced bilateral conflict.

In response, the US Secretary of State said it had taken this step for the protection of intellectual property.

The relationship between two power nations has sourced over various issues including, tread and coronavirus pandemic.
