Baitadi becomes first COVID-19 free district in Sudurpashchim



BAITADI: With all 300 coronavirus patients in the district discharged after recovery, Baitadi has become the first coronavirus case-free district in the Sudurpashchim Province.

According to District Health Office Baitadi, the district has no new cases of COVID-19 since last 11 days.

“We have found no new cases in the district since July 13,” Bhuwan Joshi, the information official at the District Health Office said.

He added that all coronavirus cases in Baitadi have been the India returnees.

“All COVID-19 cases here had been among India returnees,” Joshi said adding, “We kept them in the isolation for 14-35 days and sent them home after recovery.”
