Coronavirus kills 84, 207, infects 2,289,951 in Brazil

KATHMANDU: The death toll from the coronavirus in Brazil has crossed 84,000 in the last seven months.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, the death toll has reached 84, 207 after 1,317 new deaths were reported.

With new 58,080 cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has surged to 2,289,951 so far.

Currently, 635,507 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 1,570,237 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China on December 31, 2019, the coronavirus pandemic has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances, killing 636,384 and infecting 15,650,441 people across the world.
