After septuagenarian parents, COVID-19 positive found in son as well



CHITWAN: The 52-year-old male of Chitwan found coronavirus positive on Saturday, is said to be the son of the septuagenarian parents of Bharatpur-6 Kesharbag.

Earlier, a 74-year-old father and a 73-year-old mother of  Kesharbag were found coronavirus positive on Friday.

The three had been to Rajeev Gandhi Cancer Hospital, Delhi for the 74-year-old man’s cancer treatment.

They had returned from India on May 16.

According to the hospital sources, the test conducted on Thursday had shown the septuagenarian parents coronavirus, but the son’s case was not confirmed.

“Thursday’s test result published on Friday had shown the parents coronavirus positive, but we’re not sure about the son’s case,” one of the high officials at the hospital said, “We retook the test of the son and found him coronavirus positive.”

Bharatpur Hospital, set up as Corona Special Temporary Hospital has been working as the coronavirus laboratory in Chitwan.

Out of 1371 swab tests in Chitwan’s lab, 7 have tested coronavirus positive.

According to the Hospital sources, 2 have been discharged after recovery and whereas 5 are undergoing treatment there.

Out of five in hospital three are from Chitwan and two from Nawalpur district.
