‘Decision on lockdown will be taken analyzing situation in neighboring countries’

KATHMANDU: The government has stated that a decision on lockdown will be taken analyzing the situation of coronavirus in the neighboring countries.

Speaking at a press meet organized to make public cabinet decisions on Thursday, the government Spokesperson Minister for Finance along with Communications Yuvaraj Khatiwada maintained that the decision on whether to extent lockdown or not will be taken analyzing the situation of neighboring countries as Nepal is still at high risk.

“People have sneaked into Nepal taking advantage of the open border even during the lockdown. They have increased the risk of infection in Nepal,” Minister Khatiwada said.

He added that the government is preparing to loosen the lockdown by allowing some services and development works.
