Two Sun City residents recover from COVID-19

KATHMANDU: Two persons staying at the Pepsi Cola-based Sun City Apartments, Kathmandu have discharged from the hospital on Thursday.

Speaking at the regular press briefing on Thursday, Dr. Bikash Devkota, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population said that a 58-years old man and his 81-year-old mother were discharged from the hospital today following successful treatment for COVID-19.

They had tested positive for novel coronavirus on April 14 and had undergone treatment at the Patan Hospital.

The rapid diagnostic test (RDT) had shown their results positive and the swab test of two done at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory had confirmed that they had been infected with the coronavirus.

Nine people have recovered from COVID-19 in Nepal so far.
