Global IME Bank provides Rs 10 million for Covid-19 fund

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited decided to provide Rs. 10 million to the newly established fund of the government to prevent and control COVID-19.

The Cabinet meeting on Sunday evening had established the fund so as to combat coronavirus.

Issuing a press statement on Monday, the Bank stated that it supported the government as per its corporate social responsibility to walk hand by hand with the government in protecting its people from the deadly virus and encourage other helping hands to come forward to extend their support.

The Bank will collect funds from the volunteer donors opening an account at the Bank for the same purpose and handover the collected amount to the concerned parties as early as possible.

The Bank hopes that the support would add a brick to the efforts of the government and pledges for further support in the days to come too.

The Bank has been providing similar supports to the government and other needy people/organizations as part of its corporate social responsibility regularly.
