COVID-19: NA forms core team; produces PPE, masks



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army (NA) on Monday stated that it has started internal preparations taking possible a hazard of COVID-19 into account.

Issuing a statement, the NA Directorate of Public Relations said it has started necessary preparations for minimizing and managing a possible outbreak in Nepal.

“A core team of NA has been created for necessary coordination with government authorities if cases of coronavirus surfaces,” reads the statement.

NA further said it will organize awareness programs to aware people of COVID-19, adding it has started production of sanitizers, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and masks among others.
