Six including Lamjung In-charge of Biplav outfit arrested with explosives



LAMJUNG: Police have arrested six persons, including Lamjung In-charge of Netra Bikram Chandra alias Biplav outfit, with explosives.

Police arrested six leaders and cadres including Lamjung district In-charge Jang Bahadur Bhandari alias Akrosh, 42, and District Secretary Bil Bahadur Gurung, 46 of Lamjung.

Likewise, Lamjung district committee members Narayan Bahadur Kunwar, 62, and Rabindra Nakhola, 34, and cadres Durgalal Tamang, 22, and Sujan Thapa, 26 were also nabbed.

According to Ganga Bahadur Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Lamjung, they were arrested with explosives at around 1 pm on the basis of a tip-off that the leaders and cadres of the outfit had gathered.

A police team led by Thapa cordoned off the area and arrested the leaders and cadres with explosives.

Police recovered 500 grams of sulfur, 500 grams of ammunition, 5 kg of soda, and 1.5 meters of septic fuse among
others from them.

Similarly, 50 posters, 50 leaflets, Rs 31,685, donation receipt, two motorcycles, eight mobile phones, and six SIM cards were also recovered.

Police said that further investigation is underway into the incident.
