Five more persons succumb to coronavirus in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Five more persons have succumbed to to coronavirus in Nepal as of Wednesday afternoon.

Two persons each from Lalitpur and Banke and one person in Morang succumbed to COVID-19.

According to the District Health Office, Lalitpur, an 80-year-old man of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 24 Dhapakhel died while undergoing treatment at Megha Hospital.

He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. Similarly, a 74-year-old man from Patan died at Alka Hospital in Lalitpur this morning.

Similarly, a 64-year-old man from Bardiya died of coronavirus who was undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur Banke.

He was admitted to the hospital last Sunday due to ailing health problems and he was confirmed with coronavirus on Monday.

He was suffering from pneumonia, the hospital said.

A 39-year-old man from Barbardia Municipality-3 died at 10:30 this morning while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

He was suffering from pneumonia. The hospital said that his corona was confirmed last Sunday.

Likewise, an 86-year-old man from Bhadrapur, Jhapa, died today while undergoing treatment at Virat Teaching Hospital in Morang, said Sudhir Singh Rathore, administration chief of the hospital.

According to him, the old man was admitted to isolation for treatment on September 19 after he was infected with coronavirus.

He had suffered from complex pneumonia, respiratory and kidney problems.
