ICU patient and nurse test COVID-19 positive in Sewa Hospital

POKHARA: One ICU patient and a staff nurse at the Pokhara-based Kaski Sewa Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd have tested coroanvirus positive on Sunday.

According to Hari Lal Acharya, an official at Pokhara Metropolitan City’s Health Division, 52 swabs were collected from the hospital after a 50-year-old woman from Tanahu died of coronavirus on August 18.

Dr. Padam Khadka, the Managing Director of the Hospital informed that the woman was shifted to ICU after the death of Tanahu woman.

He informed that the COVID-19 positive woman was recovering from pneumonia, the problem she has been facing for quite a few days.

With Sunday’s case, Gandaki province has seen 1,870 cases of the pandemic out of which 261 are from Pokhara Metropolitan City.

Gandaki Province has witnessed 7 coronavirus pandemic deaths.
