COVID-19 positive jailbirds flee from hospital in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ: Two inmates who had tested coronavirus positive and were receiving treatment at the Birgunj-based Corona Special Temporary Hospital have fled from the hospital on Saturday evening.

According to DSP Manojit Kunwar of District Police Office Parsa, the jailbirds were admitted in hospital after they tested positive on Friday.

DSP Kunwar informed that the police has initiated probe on the fleeing of the jailbirds.

Parsa saw 142 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday.

Parsa has been one of the coronavirus hard hit districts in province 2.
