Private schools resuming online classes from today

KATHMANDU: Private school operators are resuming online classes from today.

A joint meeting of PABSON, N-PABSON, the Guardians Association of Nepal and Institutional School Teacher’s Union Nepal (ISTU-Nepal) on Wednesday took a decision to this effect.

The online classes will resume from Thursday at the request of ISTU-Nepal and the Guardians Association of Nepal which had earlier been halted by PABSON and N-PABSON saying that the government paid no heed to their professional sentiments, reads the decision.

Meanwhile, they have also urged the government to consider its decision to allow private school operators to take admission only from August 17.

Private school operators have decided to resume their online classes after the government lifted the four-month-long lockdown from Tuesday midnight.

They had shut down online classes since July 16, sending teachers on unpaid leave.
