Woman in quarantine gives birth to child



JHIMRUK: A woman in quarantine in Pyuthan has given birth to a child.

Sita Khadka, 18, staying in the Janajagriti Secondary School at Kaseri of Mallarani rural municipality-4 was brought to the Primary Health Center after she complained of labor pain.

She delivered the child at around 8:00 am today, according to rural municipality health division chief Paras Shahi.

The mother and her newborn are in normal health. The RDT report of the woman is negative and it is yet to be decided whether she requires PCR test for cornavirus or not.

The woman had been staying in the quarantine since June 15 following her return from India with her husband.
