Container vans stranded at Tatopani transit due to landslide



MELAMCHI: Container vans en-route to Kathmandu have been stranded near Tatopani checkpoint due to a landslide.

A total of 14 container vans loaded with medical goods were stranded after the landslide occurred near Lipi Bazar of Tatopani.

The landslide occurred near the Lipi cliff and the container vans heading to Kathmandu have been stranded, said Area Police Office, Kodari.

According to police, around 50 trucks and container vans have been stuck near Tatopani checkpoint.

Police said preparations are underway to  clear the road.
