KATHMANDU: The government has registered a bill for the amendment of the constitution at the Federal Parliament’s Secretariat on Friday.

According to the Secretariat sources, the Ministry of Law has registered the bill for amendment in the constitution.

As a next move after the publication of the complete map including Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh and Kalapani, the government has formally registered a bill for the amendment of the constitution so as to amend Appendix 3 of the constitution.

The amendment in the constitution will make room for the change in the map used in the national emblem.

However, the amendment of the constitution requires the formal consent of two-third majorities of the lawmakers in the federal parliament.
