One Nepali dies of COVID-19 in Qatar



KATHMANDU: A Nepali national has died of Coronavirus in Qatar.

According to Nepali Ambassador to Qatar Naradnath Bhardwaj, a Nepali migrant worker of Dhanusha died of Coronavirus while the other infected are being treated by the Qatar government.

Almost 60 Nepali migrant workers infected with the novel virus have come into contact with the Nepali Embassy and the Embassy is inquiring into the facilities they are receiving from the hospital said Ambassador Bhardwaj.

Non Resident Nepali Association, however,  has said that 2,500 Nepali people have been infected with COVID-19 in Qatar.

The death toll in Qatar from Coronavirus has reached 17 while 38, 651 have been infected so far.

Currently, 31, 346 people have been undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the  country, of which 7, 288 have returned home after recovery.
