KATHMANDU: With the number of coronavirus-infected cases rising to 45 in Nepal, the number of recovered cases, too, has gone up. So far, seven persons, including two on Wednesday, have been recovered.
Dr. Bikash Devkota, the Spokesperson at the Ministry for Health and Population, updated the recovery cases in the regular briefings of the Ministry on Wednesday.
According to him, there have been 3,736 tests carried out in the past 24 hours.
There have been 40,431 tests executed in the country so far in which 9,011 tests are done through PCR technology and 31,420 tests trough RDT technology.
Dr Devkota said one was discharged from Seti Provincial Hospital, Kailali, whereas another was discharged from The Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Kathmandu.
The 40-year-old man discharged from Kailali had spent 19 days in the provincial hospital, whereas the 32-year-old man discharged from Kathmandu stayed at the hospital for 29 days.
According to spokesperson Dr Devkota, there are 8,595 people in the quarantines set up in various places all over the country.
“There are 95 persons in isolation in which 3 are in Kathmandu Valley and 92 are outside Kathmandu,” he added.
He informed that there are 269 persons in red zone all over the country.
