Out of 11 infected persons in Udayapur; two came from India, one from UAE



KATHMANDU: Out of the 11 new COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday in Udayapur district, while two infected persons had come from India, the third one came from the UAE.

According to Superintendent of Police, Bir Bahadur Buda, Head at District Police Office, Udayapur, the person from UAE arrived Nepal on March 22.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal has reached 42. Out of the total cases, five have been discharged after recovery.

Similarly, among the two persons coming from India, one came from New Delhi while the other from Uttar Pradesh.

It is, however, not confirmed yet when did they come to Nepal.

On Friday, 13 people living at a mosque in Bhulke of the district were tested positive for coronavirus. People who tested positive today are those who came in contact with infected persons.

These 24 infected people have been taking treatment at Corona Special Hospital in Biratnagar.
