Summit Air makes emergency landing in Ramechhap



KATHMANDU: An aircraft of Summit Air that flew for Lukla from Kathmandu made an emergency landing at Ramechhap Airport on Sunday morning following an engine failure.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Ramechhap, the aircraft with a call sign 9N-AMG made the landing at around 9 am this morning after both the engines of the aircraft failed.

All the 18 passengers and three crew members are safe.

According to Air Traffic Controller at the airport Bibas Dahal, the pilot of Summit Air had informed the pilot of Tara Air heading to Kathmandu about the engine failure.

Then, the Tara Air pilot informed Ramechhap Airport.
