Dedicated lane to ease Koteshwor jam



KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to a dedicated lane to resolve the Koteshwor traffic jam.

The Road Division Kathmandu under the Department of Roads is planning to add a dedicated lane to the left-hand side of the Tinkune-Koteshwor-Jadibuti road section, said Kuber Nepali, chief of the Division.

Similarly, a lane would be added to the left-hand side of Jadibuti-Koteshwor-Balkumari road section to ease the traffic jam. The lane would be dedicated, according to Nepali.

Commuters to Kathmandu from Bhaktapur and vice versa have to wait for hours at Koteshwor due to hectic traffic jam.
