NSU stages torchy rally against House dissolution



KATHMANDU: The student wing of the Nepali Congress, Nepal Student Union (NSU), organized a torch rally at Ratnapark to protest against the government’s dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Irate students came with the flames and effigies of Prime Minister KP Oli and chanted slogans against the government.

The torch rally that started from Ratnapark reached Bhotahity and got changed into a corner assembly.

NSU leader Kundan Kafle strongly opposed Prime Minister Oli’s decision to dissolve the parliament and also blamed the communist party government for misleading the people.

“PM Oli and the Communists have made the mockery of democracy and the rule of law,” Kafle said addressing the participants of the rally, “ The true nature of the Communist has been revealed by the incident.”
