15 largest income taxpayers felicitated



KATHMANDU: The government today felicitated 15 largest income taxpayers.

The Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd was the largest income tax payer for the fiscal year 2018/19.

Minister for Finance Bishnu Paudel felicitated Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd and 14 other companies for paying highest income taxes at a ceremony to mark the 9th National Tax Day.

Chairman of Jawalakhel Group of Industries Vijay Kumar Shah has been felicitated for being the largest individual tax payer for fiscal year.

Likewise, Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd was honored for being the largest taxpayer among exporters.

Similarly, Himal Power Ltd has been felicitated for being the largest taxpayer among special industries.

Meanwhile, Nabil Bank Ltd has also been felicitated.

The Annapurna Agro Industries Pvt Ltd and Chhimek Laghubitta Bittaya Sanstha Ltd have been felicitated for paying highest tax among agro and livestock industries and cooperatives and microfinance companies respectively.

Likewise, Nepal Reinsurance Company Ltd, Manipal Education and Medical Group and IME Ltd have also been felicitated.

Similarly, Agni Incorporated Pvt Ltd and Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited have also been felicitated as highest taxpayers.

Minister Paudel also felicitated Kamana Bikas Bank Ltd for paying the highest income tax in fiscal year 2018/19 from among the taxpayers under the Medium Level Taxpayers Office

Likewise, Ghorahi Cement Industries Pvt Ltd was also felicitated for paying the highest Value Added Tax in the fiscal year.
