Four killed, one injured in auto rickshaw accident in Chitwan



KATHMANDU: Four people were killed and one injured after an auto rickshaw accident in Kalika Municipality on Saturday.

According to the District Police Office Chitwan, the auto rickshaw (Bagmati Province 06-001 H 0315) was traveling from Upardangadi toward Shaktikhor when it lost control and overturned into a roadside drain at Dabyatar in Kalika Municipality-9.

Those who died in the accident include the driver, 39-year-old Purna B.K. of Rapti Municipality-9, along with Bishnu Kumari Tamang, 56, of Rapti Municipality-8, Bini Tamang, 22, of Rapti Municipality-9, and Tilak Tamang, approximately 56, also from the same locality.

They died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur, according to police information officer Rabindra Khanal.

Another injured passenger, 53-year-old Chini Kumari Gurung of Rapti Municipality-9, is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
